The Games
Hitcapacitor's Call The Tune
The music party game where players scan cards to play hit songs and place them in the correct chronological order on their personal timeline; the goal is to build an accurate sequence of hits from different decades, combining music knowledge, intuition, and a bit of luck, and the first player to correctly build a timeline of 10 songs wins.
Hitcapacitor's Music Bingo
A variation of traditional bingo where songs replace numbers: instead of calling numbers, a host plays short clips of music, and players mark their cards when they recognize a matching song title, artist, or genre; the objective is to complete a specific pattern—such as a line or full card—and call out “Bingo” to win, making it a fun mix of music knowledge, memory, and chance.
Game Rules of Hitcapacitor's Call The Tune
- Set up the game: Give each player one starting card to begin a timeline. Shuffle the remaining cards into a face-down draw pile.
- Draw and scan: On your turn, take the top card and scan the song clip. Do not reveal the year yet.
- Place in your timeline: Decide where the track belongs between your existing cards, then place it face-down in that position.
- Reveal and validate: Flip the card. If the release year fits correctly, keep it in your timeline. If not, remove it from your line and discard it.
- Use challenge moments: If your group plays with challenge tokens, players may contest a placement before reveal. A correct challenge rewards the challenger; a failed challenge costs the token.
- Win condition: The first player to build a correct timeline of 10 cards wins the round.
Optional party mode: play in teams, share one timeline per team, and alternate turns. This keeps larger groups moving quickly while keeping the same core rules.
Alternative Game: Hitcapactior's Music Trivia Battle
Players: 2-6
Goal: Earn points by answering music questions.
- Scan a Hitcapacitor card with the app and play the song.
- Instead of placing it on a timeline, players compete to answer:
- Artist name
- Song title
- Release decade
- Points:
- Artist: 1 point
- Title: 1 point
- Decade: 1 point
- First to 10 points wins.
Optional twist: If someone gets all 3 correct, they steal a card from another player.
